On April 13, 2012 I upgraded my phone to the Samsung Galaxy SII. In the past three+ weeks using the phone have been a pleasant dream. The camera quality, GPS lock-on time 15 sec. or less, the 4.5 inch display and Samsung's Gingerbread implementation have all exceeded my expectations so far. In the coming days and weeks more details and an in-depth review are sure to follow.

2011.03.09 Samsung Galaxy S 4G vs. SGS 3G

I am looking at a SGS 4G. It has a memory issue on the internal memory compared to the Vibrant (Less than 1GB vs 2GB). However Even loaded with over thirty eight apps I only use about 23.67MB's of internal memory for those apps.

If you do upgrade to a SGS 4G is not a bad phone so far. The internal data bandwidth is amazing. I have Charter Cable internet with  average speeds above 10 Mbps. Since the phone was designed to download at up to 21Mbps it able to download the full 10+Mbps, vs. my phone that has a 7.2Mbps cap on download speeds which is no slouch though. At this point the jury is still out.
